ASIAN CUP MEDALISTS RETURN HOME: KAZAKHSTANI ARCHERS WARMLY WELCOMED AT ALMATY AIRPORT

The athletes of Kazakhstan's national archery team have returned home after proudly representing the country at the second stage of the Asian Cup, held in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, where they claimed an impressive total of 10 medals.

The Kazakhstani archers, who demonstrated outstanding skill, determination and competitive spirit throughout the international competition, arrived at Almaty International Airport, where they received a warm and festive welcome.

Their families, relatives, coaches, fellow athletes, young archers and supporters gathered at the airport to congratulate the team and celebrate their achievements. The athletes were greeted with warm embraces, heartfelt congratulations and words of appreciation. The reunion was filled with genuine emotions, joy and pride for the success of the national team.

The welcoming ceremony was organized in the spirit of Kazakh traditions and hospitality. In keeping with national customs, a traditional dastarkhan was prepared for the returning athletes, featuring baursaks and kumys — traditional Kazakh treats offered as a symbol of respect, hospitality and sincere appreciation.

The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by traditional music. Accompanied by the sounds of the dombra and accordion, songs were performed in honour of the athletes. The musical celebration added a special national touch to the occasion, making the welcome even more memorable. Everyone gathered joined in celebrating the team's achievements and expressing their gratitude to the athletes for proudly representing Kazakhstan on the international stage.

It is worth noting that Kazakhstan's national team delivered an excellent performance at the second stage of the Asian Cup in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. Kazakhstani archers secured podium finishes in individual, team and mixed team events in both recurve and compound archery.

According to the competition results, Kazakhstan's medal tally included:

🥉 2 bronze medals.

In total, the national team brought home 10 medals, once again demonstrating the growing potential and competitiveness of Kazakhstan's archery programme on the international stage.
